歸妹以娣，跛能履，征吉。
The marrying maiden as a concubine. A lame man who is able to tread. Undertakings bring good fortune.
歸妹以娣，跛能履。以偏房的身分進門。此爻雖不完滿，但征吉：安於較低的位置反而走得動。
眇能視，利幽人之貞。
A one-eyed man who is able to see. The perseverance of a solitary man furthers.
眇能視，利幽人之貞。看得不完全，但看得見。此爻適合安靜自守的人：條件不好，守得住就好。
歸妹以須，反歸以娣。
The marrying maiden as a slave. She marries as a concubine.
歸妹以須，反歸以娣。等不到好的，只好退而求其次。此爻沒有斷語，但落差已經寫在字面上。
歸妹愆期，遲歸有時。
The marrying maiden draws out the allotted time. A late marriage comes in due course.
歸妹愆期，遲歸有時。過了原本的時間。此爻是歸妹卦裡最有智慧的一爻：寧可等，也不將就。
帝乙歸妹，其君之袂，不如其娣之袂良，月幾望，吉。
The sovereign gives his daughter in marriage. The embroidered garments of the princess were not as gorgeous as those of the servingmaid. Good fortune.
帝乙歸妹，其君之袂不如其娣之袂良。地位高卻穿得樸素。月幾望吉：此爻的吉來自不炫耀。
女承筐无實，士刲羊无血，无攸利。
The woman holds the basket, but there are no fruits in it. The man stabs the sheep, but no blood flows. Nothing that acts to further.
女承筐无實，士刲羊无血。籃子是空的，刀下沒有血。此爻是全卦的結論：形式做足而實質全無。
