同人于門，无咎。走出門去交朋友。此爻的關鍵是離開熟悉的範圍，第一步就要往外。
同人于宗，吝。
Fellowship with people in the clan. Humiliation.
同人于宗，吝。只跟自己人來往。此爻的吝不是災禍，是格局變小，久了就沒有新的可能。
伏戎于莽，升其高陵，三歲不興。
He hides weapons in the thicket; he climbs the high hill in front of it. For three years he does not rise up.
伏戎于莽，三歲不興。心裡藏著敵意。此爻的問題是猜忌，猜忌讓人三年動不了。
乘其墉，弗克攻，吉。
He climbs up on his wall; he cannot attack. Good fortune.
乘其墉，弗克攻，吉。爬上牆卻打不下去。此爻吉在打不成：理虧的人自己停手了。
同人先號咷而後笑，大師克相遇。
People bound in fellowship first weep and lament, but afterward they laugh. After great struggles they succeed in meeting.

同人于郊，无悔。在邊緣處與人相聚。此爻沒有大成就，但也沒有遺憾，各自安好。
